Lovely scent, tasty tea

I love a nice cup of tea, though I'm by no means a tea expert. I do have a large-ish collection of teas, which I rotate through. This makes a lovely addition to my collection. When I first opened it I was disappointed...because I opened it at night and the tea was caffeinated. So I had to wait to try a cup. The scent was stronger and more floral than I expected. When I finally had some, I was not disappointed. The tea is light and makes for a refreshing cup of tea to pick you up in the afternoon. The quality is such that I would expect from a small tea company.

Quality Leaves

I love loose leaf tea. I’m typically more of a green tea person but on occasion I like to have a nice oolong. This oolong is mixed with jasmine green tea flowers which adds a bit of floralness to it. I’m less of a strong jasmine fan as I prefer the oolong to shine so following the instructions to discard the first steep was critical for me to enjoy it. The first steep was very jasmine floral forward. The other steeps 2-4 were much more balanced and by the time it was on steep 4, the jasmine was a bit lighter. I did not brew my tea with boiling water as I rarely do. I did my steep at 185 which is the low temperature for tie guan yin oolong leaves, but it is 5 degrees hotter than recommended for jasmine. I made sure to keep within 20 seconds for the steeps 2-4 to reduce the chance of oversteeping which causes bitterness. I did also use 10 grams for a cup of about 7 oz of tea.I did not get to go past 4 steeps but the instructions mentioned that it can go up to 7 steeps, just each subsequent steep after 4 needs an additional 5 seconds of steeping.Overall I enjoyed the tea. With the blend of jasmine and oolong, it gives an additional complexity that veers away from my standard green teas. It’s not an everyday tea for me personally but it is enjoyable especially with company around. While the packet is 100grams and I use about 5-10 grams each time for a cup (small vs regular), being able to resteep up to 6 drinkable times gives it a high value. I would consider getting this again.

A bit lighter than the oolong I'm used to.

This is a very light blend of tea. I am huge oolong tea drinker so I'm used to something with a bit more kick. The jasmine flavor and aroma are pronounced.I prepared this according to the suggested method, which again yielded a slightly milder flavor than I would have liked. I did double up the amount and was pleased with the results. This did get me four pressings of tea which was not bad. I'm overall pleased with the tea as it's tolerable even for a snob like me.

Loverly floral essence of Jasmine

Pleasantly surprised by this tea. We have made Jasmine tea before and use great caution not to over heat the Jasmine otherwise it can sour the flavor. With this tea they infuse the Oolong with the Jasmin flower scent. The instructions said to use boiling water but we never use boiling with Oolong. 170 degrees fahrenheit was perfect. The first few pours were very Jasmine forward. Do follow the instructions and discard the first steep. We re-steeped 4 times and had enough tea although I think the leaves could have gone further. Haven't tried over ice but I think this would be a great iced tea as well. Photo attached shows leaves before and after steeping.

Tasty and aromatic!

A flavorful and aromatic light oolong. It doesn't take a lot to get a lot either. The leaves unfurl into full leaves while steeping and this helps it maintain flavor for multiple steepings.I got several pots out of the 5.5g I used for the review and this tea will go into my regular rotation as I LOVE jasmine.

Very refreshing

Buying good quality loose leaf tea in the US is quite difficult. There are too many places selling "tea" that are just artificially flavored plant materials. I didn't have good hopes for these but I'm pleasantly surprised. The scent of jasmine is unmistakably floral, fresh, and delicate. The base oolong itself is smooth and clean with little oxidization which pair well with the brightness of the jasmine. The leaves are tightly rolled and unfurled once steeped as good oolong tea should. Once I brewed it, the tea balances the sweetness of the floral notes with the complexity of the tea. The liquor is smooth and layered, with a lingering finish that carries both the tea’s natural character and the jasmine’s elegance. It is not bitter at all even after letting the leaves sit for quite a bit in hot water. Overall a pretty great beginner's tea.

High quality tea

This is a high quality tea. It tastes very floral and not bitter like normal green tea. The leaves are whole and there's still some bright green in the tea bag.I love the balance of simplicity and complexity in this tea, You can steep it multiple times, the first steep shouldn't be very long you don't drink and discard (they consider it like a rinse.) The flavor is clean with soft floral with a slight sweet aftertaste.

Delicious!!! So floral!

This tea is DELICIOUS. I feel like I have elevated my tea game to the next level. You can tell each leaf is hand picked and rolled. There’s some real care that’s gone I to preparing this tea.Brewing the first steep, it smells so wonderfully floral, very strongly of jasmine. The flavor is very light, and has a reminiscence of sweetness to it. The aroma is so intriguing.Overall an amazing tea. I highly recommend. Tastes amazing through the fifth steep. A tea for guests!

Yummy and aromatic oolong

It’s evident that this is high quality oolong. Whole leaves are tightly rolled, there is no dust whatsoever. The instructions are peculiar (see my photo), they actually recommend discarding the first steep and re-steeping for very short amounts of time up to 5-7 times after that. I’ll be honest, I couldn’t find it in me to toss the first steep and I wasn’t going for re-steeping, so I just steeped it once for 3 minutes and it was delicious!

Love it, very fragrant

I was really impressed with this bag of jasmine oolong loose leaf tea leaves. It arrived in a resealable bag. Upon opening the bag, I could smell the fragrant tea leaves immediately with the dominant jasmine scent coming through. I use a tea steeper ball and placed some loose leaf into it in order to steep. The color of the tea is a light yellow tint and a pleasant, mild taste. I used the same tea steeper and leaves for a second cup, which worked just fine but I could detect a very slight bitter taste but I suspect it's from steeping longer and leaving my tea in the cup for a bit prior to drinking. I enjoyed this tea very much and would recommend it.

A lovely light floral tea!

Beautiful packaging, very aromatic, and delicious! I felt like it was a decent price despite being slightly more expensive because of its quality. I got about five strains out of it.

Floral and fresh, more jasmine than oolong

When I first opened the bag, I was immediately struck by the fragrance—the jasmine aroma is strong, fresh, and natural, and It really fills the room when brewing. My only note is about the naming: calling it “Jasmine Oolong “ might be a bit misleading, since it doesn’t quite have the typical roasted or creamy body you’re expect from an oolong. If you’re looking for that classic oolong based, you might be surprised. But if what you want is a floral jasmine experience, this tea is a lovely choice.

Fragrant and smooth tea

This jasmine oolong has a really nice aroma that comes through as soon as the bag is opened. The leaves look fresh and whole, and they brew into a light golden tea with a clean taste. I like that the jasmine fragrance is noticeable but not overpowering, so it feels balanced and smooth to drink. It works well both hot and cold, and the flavor stays pleasant even after a second steeping. The sealed bag keeps it fresh and makes it easy to store. A relaxing tea that feels refreshing any time of the day.

Tas Tea 😜

I've always liked oolong tea. The added jasmine is nice too.The 100g should last me for a little while before I need more, but probably would have gone with a larger bag if they offered it.

Fragrant tea

This smells very fragrant even before steeping. The tea leaves were curled tightly. According to the instructions, you're supposed to discard the first steep. Afterwards, the taste was mildly floral and bitter and lovely. You can keep re-steeping, but it does get more bitter with each steep.

Good delicate flavor

This jasmine oolong is interesting. I've never had those two varieties together. There is a light jasmine and a light oolong flavor. The leaves are curled in little balls like oolong usually is. The only weird thing is that it says to cook it at 212F and to throw out the first brew. There was a slight bitterness and I did get some reflux from this. I haven't tried it in the way the package suggested. I brewed mine at 170ish for 3 minutes.

Very fragrant and refreshing jasmine tea

Here's a jasmine oolong tea. It's very fragrant in terms of the jasmine, and feels quite light and refreshing on the palate. I believe the longer you steep the tea, it may acquire a bit of a tannic/astringent note to it—think green, unripe banana. Although, because of this, I think I get notes of slightly unripe peach or perhaps honey—a hint of fruity, mainly floral scent combined with the astringency. Overall, I find this tea very pleasant, and very satisfying to drink—I recommend it, especially if you happen to be a jasmine tea fan.
