Unit price perThe jasmine aroma is noticeable the moment the package is opened, soft and floral in a way that feels immediately comforting. It’s amazing how much flavor and fragrance this tea has, especially without actual jasmine blossoms in the blend.
I brewed this tea at 212°F using 1 teaspoon in 8 oz of water, with a 40-second first steep and a 60-second second steep. The jasmine comes through clearly and confidently, while the tea itself stays light and smooth. There’s a gentle sweetness that makes the cup feel easy and soothing rather than heavy.
This lovely Jasmine Liu Bao tea has a sweet jasmine aroma. With a rich auburn color. This has been one of my favorite jasmine teas I’ve tried. The blend with the fermented Liu Bao tea is delicate, subtly sweet, yet earthy all at the same time. I first tried it hot which was lovely and floral but then I tried it over ice and it transformed it into the perfect summer refreshment. Either way it has whispers of common jasmine teas but it truly is something all together special and different.
I previously tasted and loved iteaworld's jasmine black tea and usually gravitate towards jasmine floral teas so I was especially looking forward to this unique blend. On the other hand, my previous experience with liubao/dark teas is limited and honestly not usually my cup of tea. But this is the first liubao I actually love and would buy again.
The aroma of the dry leaves is a beautiful intoxicating jasmine (a bit more subtle on wet leaf) and the liubao tea flavor adds a hint of complexity and mystery while remaining in the background. I prepared the tea gongfu style and 6 steeps in it still had a nice flavor and aroma, speaking to the quality of the tea. It was also a really settling tea that felt nice on my stomach, good for digestion. Would definitely recommend this tea to jasmine lovers looking for something more complex and warm.
This Jasmine Liu Bao is a wonderful introduction to gongfu-style brewing. Scented three times with fresh jasmine from Hengxian, China, the aroma is soft, natural, and inviting.
Brewed in a 100ml ceramic teapot with 5g of tea and boiling water, a quick rinse wakes up the leaves and releases a warm, gently floral aroma. I infused twice and found it very forgiving — smooth, balanced, and never bitter.
Flavor notes include clean earth, soft wood, gentle sweetness, and a calming jasmine finish. Traditionally enjoyed for digestion and wellness, this tea is grounding, comforting, and restorative.
This Jasmine Liubao is a really tasty and full tea. The liubao itself isn’t the most robust or complex, but the jasmine helps to bolster it and make it a very enjoyable experience. Especially for the price! The canister it came in looks great, and seems great for reusing later. It also came with a free sample of another tea and some empty teabags (to fill yourself)
The care put into the packaging and presentation exceeded expectations, and the tea was really enjoyable.
