We designed this collection because many of our Tea friends wanted to explore Chinese tea but didn’t know where to begin. China’s tea world is far more than just Longjing or Tieguanyin—it spans seven major categories, each with unique flavors, histories, and craftsmanship. For newcomers, buying tea one by one is costly, confusing, and often overwhelming.

So we created the "China's 10 Most Famous Tea Collection"—a curated set that brings together the most representative teas from each category. From Longjing and Tieguanyin to Pu’er, Jasmine, and the rare Junshan Yinzhen, this box offers a complete taste of China’s tea landscape in one experience.

To make learning easier, every set includes a beautifully designed Beginner’s Guide to Chinese Tea, covering tea culture, the six major tea types, why Chinese people use a gaiwan, simple brewing steps, and essential tea etiquette.

And because many beginners don’t have proper teaware, we also created a Gift Edition featuring a premium Chaozhou bone-china gaiwan set—lightweight, quick-cooling, and perfect for first-time users.

This product isn’t just a sampler.
It’s an accessible, thoughtful entry into the world of Chinese tea—a way for us to share its flavor, culture, and beauty with tea lovers everywhere.

We created this set with three clear goals:

  • Show the full flavor spectrum of Chinese tea
  • Cover the six core Chinese tea categories in one box
  • Use the internationally representative teas

Together, these ten teas form a practical “flavor map” that helps you truly understand Chinese tea—quickly, clearly, and enjoyably.

Two iconic Green Teas — Longjing and Huangshan Maofeng
Representing China’s two great green tea techniques: pan-fired and oven-fired, and two of the legendary “Ten Famous Teas.”

Two classic Oolongs — Tieguanyin and Da Hong Pao
The fragrant elegance of Southern Fujian meets the roasted, mineral depth of Wuyi rock tea—showing the true range of oolong.

Two foundational Black Teas — Qimen (Keemun) and Yunnan Dianhong
Small-leaf refinement versus large-leaf richness—two pillars of Chinese black tea.

White Tea — White Peony (Bai Mudan)
Soft, honeyed, and naturally sweet—the pure expression of minimally processed tea.

Dark Tea — Ripe Pu’er from Yunnan
Smooth, earthy, and deeply comforting—the most approachable style of aged tea.

Yellow Tea — Junshan Yinzhen
Rare, subtle, and essential for understanding China’s complete tea landscape.

Scented Tea — Jasmine Tea
China’s signature floral tradition—the perfect entry point into Chinese tea culture.

The Stories of China’s Ten Famous Teas

Longjing Green Tea

West Lake Longjing, China’s most famous green tea, often called the “National Tea.” With over a thousand years of history, it was praised as an imperial tribute during the Qing dynasty. Grown in Hangzhou’s West Lake region, its flat, smooth leaves brew a clear, refreshing cup with roasted bean or tender chestnut notes, reflecting the elegance of Chinese tea culture.

Huangshan Maofeng Green Tea

Huangshan Maofeng, a high-mountain green tea from Anhui. Tender spring buds are hand-picked and lightly pan-fired, preserving natural fragrance. Pale jade liquor with delicate floral and chestnut notes, smooth, fresh, and naturally sweet, capturing the refined craftsmanship and high-mountain charm of Huizhou green tea.

Anxi Tieguanyin Oolong

Anxi Tieguanyin, one of China’s most celebrated oolongs, originated from a Qing Dynasty legend. Grown in Anxi’s Xiping region, it has three main styles: light, traditional, and aged. The light-oxidized style is the most popular, offering bright floral aroma, fresh, smooth taste, and a lingering sweet finish — embodying the legendary “Guanyin Charm.”

Da Hong Pao Oolong

Da Hong Pao, the iconic Wuyi rock tea, originates from a Ming Dynasty legend. Original mother trees grow on cliffs. Known for its mineral “rock rhyme” and roasted aroma, it has bold, layered flavors. Modern blends combine select Wuyi varietals, offering smooth, rich liquor that captures the essence of Wuyi rock tea.

Yunnan Ancient Tree Black Tea

Yunnan Ancient Tree Black Tea, from century-old trees in highland regions, hand-picked for quality. Full-bodied, smooth, sweet, and complex, with lasting finish. Jingmai Mountain ancient trees are especially prized, offering wild floral-honey aroma — a quintessential example of Yunnan black tea.

Keemun Black Tea

Keemun Black Tea, one of the world’s top aromatic black teas, grown in Qimen, Anhui. Developed in the late Qing dynasty with refined techniques, it offers lasting floral, fruity, and honeyed fragrance. Smooth, elegant, and highly aromatic — a classic example of fine black tea.

White Peony White Tea

White Peony, a famous white tea from Fuding, Fujian. Buds and leaves bloom like flowers, with silvery tips. Simply processed by withering and drying, it is sweet, mellow, and ages gracefully, exemplifying the elegance and purity of white tea.

Junshan Yinzhen Yellow Tea

Junshan Yinzhen, a prized yellow tea from Junshan Island, Hunan. Plump buds with fine white hairs are lightly fermented, yielding golden liquor with mellow, sweet flavor and lasting floral aroma — one of the finest yellow teas.

Pu’er Ripe Tea

Ripe Pu’er from Yunnan, processed with “wet piling” fermentation. Smooth, mellow, earthy, with sweet, aged aroma. Comforting, digestively friendly, and improves in flavor over time.

Jasmine Green Tea (Triple Scented)

Jasmine Green Tea, a classic scented tea, using green tea leaves and triple-scented with fresh jasmine flowers. Harmonious floral and tea aroma, lasting fragrance, refreshing and sweet — a fragrant symbol of Chinese tea culture.
