Overall I'm not the biggest fan of the smoky taste in tea, but in here it was pretty nice without beeing too overwhelming. The tea itself is compressed into a beautiful coin.
In aroma we can notice smoky notes and prunes. In taste we feal mostly smoked and resin taste, in the background some floral notes are also noticable, maybe some dried fruits too. Quite sweet and astrigent.
This tea has a savory smokiness and a slight sweetness to it, along with a hint of citrus after I swallow. It took many steeps for the leaves in the tightly compressed coin to fully expand.
I'm usually not a fan of smoked teas, so I didn't know what to expect. The tea itself is compressed into a tight disk, and the leaves take some time to coax out of their coin shape. The aroma of pine smoke is very present. As for how the tea tasted, I didn’t feel like the smoke was overwhelming at all. I even got spice notes, like ginger and cloves, and a sweet aftertaste. I may not know much about smoked teas, but I did enjoy this one.
