Huangshan Maofeng (3 bags)
Jasmine Green Tea (4 bags)
Enshi Jade Dew (3 bags)
Old Tree Green Tea (3 bags)
It also includes a box of transparent tea bags and a tea guide that covers each tea’s origin, unique characteristics, and brewing instructions.

Dragon Well (Longjing): Light orchid fragrance, smooth with no bitterness, and leaves a lasting impression. Known as the “Queen of Green Tea.” (Pro tip: it's a cooling tea, so ladies, drink in moderation!)

Bi Luo Chun: Bright green leaves with a hint of silver. Floral and fruity aroma, sweet and mellow with no bitterness.

Huangshan Maofeng: Pale green-yellow tea leaves. Fresh and rich flavor with a sweet aftertaste.

Enshi Jade Dew: Slightly bitter upfront but leaves a delicate fragrance. I found it the most bitter of the bunch, but it’s also super resilient to multiple brews.

Exploring the World of Tea: A Journey Through Six Classic Green Teas 🍵

Chinese tea culture is profound and timeless, with tea ceremonies and craftsmanship passed down through generations. As someone who loves tea, I usually brew my own “health blends” to sip on throughout the workday. I’ve tried Long Jing, Biluochun, and Xinyang Maojian, but I never realized there are over 100 types of green tea—or the fascinating tea-making techniques behind them.

iTeaworld, with over 20 years of expertise in the tea industry, is dedicated to helping beginners get into tea effortlessly. This educational tea set is perfect for tea enthusiasts who want to explore different types, understand their quality, and identify their favorite brews.

As both a tea lover and a bit of a novice, this iTeaworld Green Tea Collection introduced me to six classic green teas and sparked my curiosity to dive deeper into tea craftsmanship.

The Four Core Green Tea Processing Methods:
Pan-fried: e.g., Long Jing, Biluochun
Baked: e.g., Huangshan Maofeng; also used for floral blends like Jasmine Green Tea
Steamed: e.g., Enshi Jade Dew
Sun-dried: e.g., Old Tree Green Tea
The Green Tea Collection includes 6 types of tea, with 20 small packs in total. The packaging is beautifully traditional, and it comes with a booklet that details each tea's origin, characteristics, and brewing instructions. There’s also a box of biodegradable tea bags, made from natural materials—super user-friendly for brewing in any cup, even without a tea strainer!

Here’s my tasting experience of the six teas:

Pan-fried Teas
Long Jing (Dragon Well)
One of the most famous Chinese green teas, known for its elegant orchid fragrance and nutty undertones. Sourced from high-altitude mountains, this tea is hand-crafted by a tea master with 30+ years of experience.

Flavor: Rich and refreshing with a strong aftertaste
Highlight: Great for focus and energy during work!
Biluochun
Another well-known tea, grown in an orchard-like environment that lends a fruity aroma.

Flavor: Light yet full-bodied, with a sweet aftertaste
Highlight: Perfect for relaxation, leaving you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
Baked Teas
Jasmine Green Tea
Crafted with jasmine flowers from Hengxian, the "Jasmine Capital," and high-altitude Yunnan tea leaves. This tea goes through an impressive seven rounds of scenting.

Flavor: Intense floral aroma with a naturally sweet, smooth taste
Highlight: A calming break from daily stress—purely delightful!
Huangshan Maofeng
Harvested from the high peaks of Huangshan, this tea is delicate and refreshing, with notes of orchid.

Flavor: Crisp and smooth, with a lingering sweetness
Highlight: Ideal for serene moments, evoking a “mountain and stream” tranquility.
Steamed Tea
Enshi Jade Dew
The only Chinese green tea made using an ancient steaming process.

Flavor: Slightly bitter at first, but reveals a lingering sweetness as you sip
Highlight: Visually stunning with its golden hue—great for mindful tea rituals.
Sun-dried Tea
Old Tree Green Tea
Made from the leaves of ancient tea trees in Yunnan, this tea captures the essence of the sun.

Flavor: Mild and slightly sweet, with a comforting warmth
Highlight: Perfect for post-workout hydration—refreshing and energizing!
My Personal Favorites:
Jasmine Green Tea: The enchanting aroma and silky smoothness blew me away. Truly exceptional!
Huangshan Maofeng: Drinking this tea felt like meditating in nature—elegant and soothing.
Old Tree Green Tea: Great for quenching thirst, especially after exercise. Its endurance in flavor is unbeatable.
Long Jing and Biluochun remain my reliable go-to’s, offering bold flavors and refreshing aromas. Meanwhile, Enshi Jade Dew's clean and vibrant profile adds an aesthetic touch to my tea collection.

Special thanks to iTeaworld for these amazing teas—what a delightful journey! 😊

The Watermelon-Sipping Elephant
Jasmine Green Tea Is Absolutely Amazing!

Honestly, I’m not a tea expert.

But over the past few years, I’ve bought tons of different tea bags for two main reasons:

Sometimes coffee makes my heart race like crazy, but I still need that energy boost.
I’ve been trying out some DIY bubble tea recipes I found online.
I usually prefer teas with floral notes, especially when paired with dried fruit (like white peach oolong). That’s my flavor profile.

First Impressions
When I got this box, I thought it was all one kind of tea.
To my surprise, there are five different kinds—such a nice surprise!

Jasmine Green Tea
This is hands down my favorite!

I naturally gravitate toward teas with floral aromas.
When brewed, the jasmine scent is intense—like, the kind that makes you go, "Wow, this jasmine is serious!" (in the best way possible).
Flavor-wise, it’s mild and light. I used a 12oz ceramic Starbucks mug to brew it, and the first steep was perfect.

However, after sitting for a while (like 1-2 hours), the tea started to taste a bit bitter at the bottom, typical for Chinese tea drinkers. By the fourth steep, the flavor had mellowed out significantly, and by the fifth, it was pretty much gone.

P.S.: Still way better value than the tea bags I usually buy from California grocery stores!

Huangshan Maofeng
This one doesn’t have a strong fragrance, but the brew is a lovely green.

In fact, it’s the prettiest color among all the teas, so I snapped a pic. The others look more...ordinary.

Flavor-wise, it’s just classic tea. I’m into traditional tea flavors, so nothing too wild or experimental for me, please!

Bi Luo Chun
The leaves are super fine and delicate—like a drizzle of soft rain.

Taste-wise, it’s alright. Compared to the jasmine green tea’s aroma and Huangshan Maofeng’s vibrant color, this one feels more subtle in every way.

Ancient Tree Green Tea
When brewed, it totally reminded me of the teas my elders used to make when I was a kid.

The yellowish leaves, the golden hue of the water—it’s pure nostalgia in a cup!

Dragon Well (Longjing)
This one’s not really for me because…too bitter!

The first steep was so bitter I couldn’t even finish it. Probably my fault for steeping it too long, and I didn’t have enough hot water on hand.

Random Thoughts
Love the packaging—simple and straightforward.
Unlike some brands with unnecessarily big boxes and hardly any tea inside, this one feels like you’re getting your money’s worth on the actual tea.

Minor gripe: the tea bags they provide.
It’s tricky to pour the loose tea straight into the bag without spilling everywhere. I had to dump the tea into a bowl first, then manually fill the bag.

Some of the bags are packed super full.
Once the tea leaves expand, it’s like the bags are about to burst, and the string barely holds the opening shut. Luckily, no tea leaves escaped!
