About Keemun Black Tea:
Keemun Black Tea (or Qimen Hong Cha) originates from the Qimen region in Anhui Province, China, and its crafting technique is recognized as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. Known as the "Champagne of Black Teas," it captivates tea lovers with its signature floral, fruity, and subtle smoky notes. During Victorian England, Keemun Black Tea was considered a luxury, often gracing royal and aristocratic tea tables. It became a staple in classic English Breakfast and afternoon tea blends. Compared to Ceylon and Assam teas, Keemun is more mellow and smooth, making it a refined choice for pairing with milk or sugar. Over time, it has earned its place as a luxurious favorite among Western black tea enthusiasts.

Beautifully Sweet and Smooth

Upon opening the package, the tea leaves present as long, elegant strands with a fragrant, inviting aroma. Brewed gongfu style—20 seconds for the initial steep, followed by three infusions at 10 seconds each—this tea delivers a remarkably silky, smooth mouthfeel. The tasting notes of apple and orchid are beautifully accurate, offering a delicate, natural sweetness. There is no trace of bitterness or astringency, making each sip exceptionally enjoyable. I found it genuinely difficult to pace myself—this tea is simply that delicious.

A Cup of Daily Enjoyment

Opening the package the tea has a naturally fragrant aroma of a subtle sweetness. I prepared the tea in 3 small steps for 15 seconds each. The first mouthful was a soft tea with a smooth fruit and floral notes. I started this tea in a Kung Fu manner but then decided to aleo have a cup made in a Western style paired with pizza. This tea can definitely hold up for daily enjoyment either hot or cold.

Overall, an impressive Keemun and delightful black tea.

Keemun Black Tea

This is no ordinary black tea—Keemun Black Tea by ITEAWORLD truly impressed me. It doesn't give off typical black tea vibes; instead, it's lighter in body yet rich in flavor. I enjoyed it both with and without sugar, and each sip revealed something new.

I brewed it in a glazed clay teapot and took my cup outside to savor the experience. The moment was peaceful, the tea was smooth and flavorful, and it reminded me why I love discovering new blends. Keemun has officially earned a spot on my favorites list.

Keemun supreme

I was gifted this tea in exchange for my honest review. I had the tea both gongfu style as pictured and in cold brew form. The tea brews up a beautiful orange copper color and smells just heavenly. The tea is nuanced and full of flavor with each sip and steep bringing out slightly different notes. I picked up mellow fruity, floral, or roast flavors that were well balanced. It is definitely one to drink on its own without any additives for me. Keemun black tea might be among my top black teas and this version from iteaworld is no exception. This I like enough to be a daily drinker, which I don't say about many teas because I typically prefer variety.
