Chrysanthemum White Tea 100g

Brewed 5g in a 100ml gaiwan at 210°F, this tea produces a glowing golden-orange liquor as whole chrysanthemum blossoms unfurl alongside aged Shou Mei leaves. The cup is soft, soothing, and beautifully balanced, with honeyed sweetness, gentle herbal warmth, and delicate floral notes finished by a light cooling sensation. Smooth, calming, and refreshing across multiple infusions, this blend invites slow, peaceful sipping.

When brewed hot according to the instructions, it was a really calming experience. The tea has an earthy, floral profile with a gentle sweetness and a long, soothing finish. The aroma is light and delicate, with soft floral notes, while the flavor leans naturally sweet—almost honey-like—with a smooth, slightly creamy, grassy mouthfeel.
Out of curiosity, I added just a touch of creamed honey, and it beautifully enhanced the floral sweetness of the chrysanthemum without overpowering the tea itself.
This is exactly why I love white teas—they’re so subtle, elegant, and easy to enjoy.

Such a lovely tea. It is so soothing. I felt an immediate calm upon sipping this tea. The flavor is nuanced, mildly sweet with delicate floral aromas. No one element overpowered the other.

I don't think I've ever had chrysanthemum in a tea before but I greatly enjoyed trying this one! I loved seeing the tea leaves unfurl and open up. It brewed up a lovely golden color. This tea had a unique flavor profile! It had honey-like sweetness with soft floral notes, and a slight earthiness. It's delicate but full of flavor. There's something about this tea that is quite soothing and a gentle reminder to slow down.

I steeped the first 3 infusions at 212° for 20 seconds then added 20 more seconds with each infusion after. The tea darkened after each infusion and the flavor became slightly more floral. I also tried some cold and I really liked it that way!

This pressed blend of 2014 Shou Mei and chrysanthemum offers a balanced and well-structured cup. The aroma is fresh and lightly floral.

Early infusions (212°F, 20s) are pale and crisp, with a delicate floral character and a subtle sweetness at the tip of the tongue. By the fourth infusion (40s), the liquor deepens and honeyed notes begin to emerge, adding warmth and a slightly fuller body.

At the fifth infusion (60s), the texture becomes more viscous with deeper honey notes and a mild grassy undertone. The chrysanthemum lingers at the finish, providing a soft floral lift.
