This Yunnan Ancient Tree Black Tea is made from leaves harvested from ancient tea trees in Jingmai Mountain, Yunnan. It is crafted using the traditional sun-dried black tea method (Shai Hong), where the leaves are naturally dried under sunlight instead of being dried with high heat. Unlike many heat-dried black teas, this process helps preserve a cleaner aroma and a more natural sweetness.

The mature tea trees and unique mountain environment contribute to this black tea’s smooth texture, gentle sweetness, and delicate aroma. Compared with bold, malty black teas, it offers a softer and more refined flavor profile with a clean finish.

A naturally crafted Yunnan black tea for those who enjoy subtle flavors, smooth texture.

Aroma:
Delicate and elegant, with light floral notes and a subtle honey fragrance. Unlike roasted black teas, it has no strong caramelized or smoky aroma, offering a clean and natural scent from the sun-dried process.

Taste:
Smooth and gentle, with a soft sweetness that slowly emerges a few seconds after each sip. The tea has a clean mouthfeel, a mild body, and a refreshing finish with lingering sweetness.

Very delicious and will order again

It took 29 days to arrive and the tracking was not very good, but the costumer service was good and replied very quickly. The tea is very delicious and I will definitely order it again.

I love the tea from Jingmai Mountain

I love the tea from Jingmai Mountain, and read about the history and learned a little more about this ancient process of caring for the mature trees.
I believe it makes a difference in how the end process turns out
I am happy to support the people and the tea they care so much about.
Thank you!

Nice aroma, Nice taste, Very Pleasant Experience

Bought this particular tea after seeing a fascinating article in National Geographic about this sacred area of the world where tea trees have been admonished and protected for over 100 years. In addition, a co-worker is an experienced tea person (I would say connoisseur but what really makes a person that level?) and an owner at a local Chinese restaurant shares his tea packets with me when he returns from China. So the challenge was on to taste the best in the world. And it does rate that. I'm not a daily coffee person or a tea person but wanted to have the experience from this tea being so specially treated and revered. So my co-worker shared a spot of tea together and throughly enjoyed everything you could say about a tea; nice aroma, nice taste. A very pleasant experience. He was surprised at the care of twisting the tea leaves before further processing. He called that out as something special. Would buy again however, the recent tariff caused this to be delivered 5 weeks but worth the wait. Thank you for producing this black tea. It does deserve an article in the previously mentioned magazine. Truely special.
