Gardenia Black Tea captures the beauty of early summer, when fresh gardenia blossoms meet the rich sweetness of Yunnan black tea. Gardenia, a beloved traditional Chinese fragrant flower, is known for its pure, elegant aroma with a naturally refreshing character.

This tea begins with spring-harvested Dianhong from Fengqing, Yunnan, a black tea prized for its smooth texture and honey-like sweetness. Fresh June gardenia blossoms are carefully paired with the tea through three rounds of traditional scenting, allowing the flower’s graceful fragrance to gently blend into the warm, mellow tea base.

The result is a tea with a unique contrast of floral brightness and rich tea depth. The first impression is a fresh gardenia aroma, delicate yet captivating, like stepping into a garden in full bloom. As you sip, the smooth sweetness of Yunnan black tea unfolds, creating a balanced experience that is refreshing, comforting, and beautifully lingering.

This Gardenia Black Tea is delicious and bold yet smooth and calming. The first sip is softly floral and fresh gardenia without being overpowering. The gardenia is balanced beautifully by the warm, smooth depth of Yunnan black tea. The body is full yet gentle, with a natural sweetness that lingers and leaves a refreshing, soothing finish. It’s the kind of tea that feels grounding and elegant at the same time. I found sipping a cup felt comforting enough for daily drinking, but special enough to slow you down and really savor. I enjoyed mine with a dash of sugar to bring out the sweetness. It was a delicious cup!

A Rich, creamy, floral delight

This tea smells like a slightly floral yunnan black tea but the taste is worth savoring and appreciating. With its delicate spring floral taste that is perfectly balanced with the black tea as to not have either one out shine the other but instead in perfect harmony. This tea creates a luxurious, comforting, and complex profile with the rich, creamy lingering finish.
This is the perfect tea to try if you think you don’t like floral teas. It really is extrodenary.

Sweet and fragrant gardenia black tea!

I steeped 3 grams in 12 ounces of boiling water for 3 minutes. I love gardenias so very much so I was really excited to try this one! I found it to be exquisitely lovely. The aroma first is incredibly intoxicating. The medium-bodied, smooth, silky Yunnan black tea chosen is absolutely perfect for the sweet, creamy, floral gardenia. The tea and flower both selected for this tea in this is truly a match made in heaven and I savored every sip. I really enjoy floral teas and I was so pleased to have had the opportunity to try this one because I’ve never had gardenia in tea before! I think this would be lovely to have in the afternoon as a way to slow down and relax in the middle of the day. If you love floral black teas, you will fall in love with this one like I have!

Lovely!

This was such a lovely tea! After the first few infusions the tea really opened up, releasing a soft floral note. It's perfectly balanced, neither the black tea or the gardenia overpowers the other. The tea has a rich, aromatic depth yet remains wonderfully delicate and smooth. I was able to resteep this one quite a few times and the tea retained its exquisite balance and delightful flavor profile. This was the perfect tea to have to take a moment to unwind. Highly recommend!

I used the gongfu method for this one. Steeped at 212° for 15 seconds for the first three infusions, then I added 10 seconds afterwards.

This tea was gifted to me by purveyor, but all opinions are my own.

Beautifully Balanced

I brewed 2 grams in 200 ml of boiling water for 40 seconds, which produced a lovely deep goldenrod liquor. The gardenia aroma is soft and inviting rather than overpowering. As the large leaves unfurled, the cup revealed a surprising sweetness and a perfect balance between fragrant floral notes and the full-bodied warmth of black tea. There’s no astringency here - just a smooth, comforting sip from start to finish.

This is the kind of tea that gently asks you to slow down, breathe, and savor the quiet moments between sips.

Amazing Gardenia scented tea

This is an amazing Gardenia scented tea!

I brewed this tea hot using the gongfu method. I am a huge fan of gardenia teas, so I knew that I was in for a treat with this one. I can smell the gardenia right upon opening the pouch. This scent goes right into the brew, and it provides the most beautiful gardenia flavor to the tea. This isn’t subtle, but it is not potpourri. The gardenia flavor permeates the cup, and I found that it deepened through the session. The black tea itself is bold with a subtle honey depth, which gives this tea a slight sweet quality. I ended up getting quite a few steeps out of the 5 gram pack. I absolutely loved this one. I also think this particular tea would be fantastic as a cold brew!

Layered and smooth

Gardenia Black Tea leaves have a very flowery scent upon opening the delightful decorated pouch. Gardenia Black tea is layered and smooth and has a lingering essence of gardenia. The gardenia is present but not overpowering. A really nice rich and complex tea. I will be enjoying this one in the mornings.

Excellent Tea

The GARDNIA BLACK TEA has a gentle scent. The gardenia is delicate but very present. The tea is smooth and wonderful as a stand alone tea. I am currently drinking mine without any additional cream, sugar or additions and it is wonderful.
The tea sachets are special they feel like a luxury tea bag. You have to try it to believe it.
Definitely a tea to try!

New Favorite Tea

I thought nothing could replace Formosa Pouchong as my absolute favorite tea, whenever I needed an extra treat in my life. However, this gardenia black has stolen my heart. I love everything about it: scent, smoothness, lingering sweetness without additives. It brings so much joy to my day. I've tried another gardenia tea, but it was harsh in comparison to this offering.

This tea is a true floral experience!

There was a very light floral scent opening the package. I steeped this at 212 degrees for 5 minutes. Once steeped, it had the nicest floral scent I’ve ever smelled from a tea- fresh, sweet, and floral. It reminded me of walking through a nursery greenhouse but was not at all overpowering. I couldn’t stop sniffing it. I’d like my house to smell like this all the time.

The tea taste was smooth, slightly sweet, slightly floral. No sugar needed but I added some to try, and it intensified the floral taste for me.
