Premium Pearl Orchid (Zhulan) Green Tea 100g

The small packet from the sampler had a very generous amount of tea. The leaves were thin, long, and green, unraveling as they steeped. I did not find that the dry tea had much of an aroma, but the infusion was fresh, springlike, and softly floral.

This is one of the smoothest green teas I’ve ever tasted. Many green teas can be astringent, or leave an aftertaste, but not this one. It tastes very clear and clean, incredibly bright, with a subtle, lingering sweetness and a delicate floral note. It’s not as boldly fragrant and aromatic as other floral varieties, and as someone who is very particular about floral teas, I love that about this one. I’ll be sipping it all afternoon.

I prepared this gongfu method and was able to get 6 infusions. The first 2 infusions I steeped for 20 seconds, then I added 10 seconds to each infusion afterwards.

It brewed up a pale yellow color with a soft delicate floral note, slightly vegetal at first. The amora was so fragrant and inviting. The floral notes became more pronounced after each infusion. I absolutely loved the flavor of this tea. It had a gentle sweetness and was incredibly smooth. So delicious!

I really enjoyed reading about this tea, I chose this one first because it said the green tea was pan fried. I've never heard of that being done before, so interesting!

When I opened the package it was a light green tea with little fragrance. On first steep the tea was a light color and taste. The 2nd steeping was a stronger green tea flavor with still gentle Pearl Orchid scent and taste. This is a gentle tea with.

I love the way ITeaWorld list on the card "Master" for each tea. It really feels as though each person takes pride in their creation.

I would recommend this tea to anyone, at any stage of their tea journey.
