Roasted Chinese Oolong Tea Collection 75g

I'm just starting learning about tea. I bought this sampler as an intro into chinese tea. I followed instructions for gongfu style brewing to the letter and all i got was lightly colored water. No flavor or aroma at all. Tried a little experimentation with temperature and length of my steeps but it didn't improve. The production date on the box is mast of last year and best by date is November of this year. So technically good but clearly not fresh enough to make a decent cup of tea. Very dissatisfied with my purchase.

I LOVE Oolong Tea! It’s my go to tea choice in the fall and the winter. I drink a few cups a day. It’s one of my favorite types of tea.So this variety pack just called to me, being able to try 3 different types of oolong in one package, say less!To make a cup of tea, it’s easy, you just place a teaspoon of tea leaves into a brew basket, or tea bag. Sit the brew basket in your mug. Then pour boiling water into your mug. Let steep according to the instructions. Enjoy! You can reuse the leaves to brew multiple times, if you’d like.I’ve been absolutely obsessed with the Wuyi Shui Xian. I purchased Starbucks Horchata Oatmilk creamer for an horchata flavored oolong that I have. I’ve been using that creamer for this tea and it’s so good!!! I highly recommend trying this combination if you’re into dessert teas.The tea smells like a nice oolong. It’s a little roasty, a little toasty, and fairly strong. It’s a wonderful smelling and tasting oolong! I love that it’s strong enough to hold up to creamer, but mild enough to be delicious on its own without anything added.I very much appreciate the cards that come with the tea. They pack a ton of useful information about the teas! From flavor profile, to brewing time, and more.Overall, I really enjoyed this tea! I can’t say enough good things about it, it rocked my socks off!

ITeaworld Roasted Oolong Tea Sampler is excellent for yourself or as a gift.Individual teas are nicely individually packaged in foil bags. Packages are sealed for freshness and tea is fresh. The packaging is also pretty.Each tea has a card which explains the tea. Explanations include; Origin, water temperature, brewing specifications, roast level and the history of the tea.These three teas brew perfectly in my Yixing clay teapot which only is used for Oolong tea.The packaging is as spectator as the tea and includes corn fiber tea bags (not plastic).I have purchased and ordered ITeaworld's teas and find them consistently good.

Pleasant roasted oolong tea sampler with a nice variety. I wouldn't categorize the roast as being a path from coffee as having this tea in the morning leaves me longing for coffee. I do think it holds up well on its own as representatives of oolong with subtle roasted backing. Roasts range from bold to med high with the med high being more fruity and sweet. The sampler comes with a hearty sample which when you consider you can get up to 6 steeps with is a whole lot of tea. The first sitting I put the 6 steeps to the test and it held up well. I however had to make frequent trips to the men's room. The next morning when I cleaned out the previous mornings tea, it looked as if it had not been steeped and still had a nice aroma. I wondered if my wife had already measured and put new tea in the basket. I like the inclusion of the information card and the fiber tea bags should you be taking some on the run. This sampler would make a great gift when you visit someone where you could both gift and enjoy a cup of tea. Sampler came with mini clips to keep bags closed which is a nice touch also.

I am not an avid tea drinker so branching out from the typical black and green teas is new to me. This sampler comes with 3 different oolongs with slightly different taste profiles. The description cards for each tea is spot on and gave me a good idea of what I was about to drink. My favorite after a round of drinks is the one with a cinnamon spice aroma. The teas were all simple to brew. I have a hot water kettle so it was easy to get the right temperature. The tea bags it comes with were easy to pour the tea leaves in and flowed into the hot water to make tea quickly. Overall this is an enjoyable set to taste different oolong teas, however, the $25 price seems a bit high.

I'm pretty sure I brewed this tea both on a boiling and 160F temperature. The boiling brought out more of the herbal and grassy flavors. The lower temp brought out the sweetness and floral notes.I don't prefer rose / jasmine / orchid floral teas, though I can appreciate the craftsmanship and premium quality of this loose leaf tea. The leaves look like they've been processed in a way that preserves the whole leaf, and brings out the best of its flavor. It's a beautiful tea in that way, and the excellent whole leaf quality means you can resteep it a few times to get a few nice cups of tea throughout the day.

This oolong tea sampler set is perfect for new tea drinkers and experienced tea drinkers alike. I have some knowledge of oolong tea but the cards explaining the different varieties are extremely helpful and provides interesting information about each variety. The packaging is beautiful and makes a great gift. You also get a pack of silky tea bags if you don't have a tea strainer already and even binder clips for open packs. Each pack of tea is vacuum sealed and actually packed quite a lot of tea. You get 25 grams of tea in each packet whereas each cup only needs 1 gram. Highly recommend for people who are curious about oolong tea.

How I love the samplers that this brand puts together. It’s a culinary treat, a sacred ritual, a geography lesson and a trip around the world – all at once. I’ve previously tried (and raved about) their jasmine sampler, and now this roasted oolong? Also to die for. Each little brick is vacuum-sealed, complete with a neat origin and steeping information “tasting” card. They even give you corn fiber tea bags for steeping and little clips to keep the tea samples fresh! And the tea itself? Whole leaf, no dust. It can handle up to 6 infusions, which is a testament to the quality of this oolong in and of itself. If you’re new to the roasted variety, start with the mildest Shui Xian (like I did) – but they are all yummy. If you’re coming to this as a coffee drinker, forego multiple lightning-fast infusions (like I did) and brew a smaller amount for 4 minutes, to get your caffeine kick. It’s really something else!

Roasted oolong isn’t usually the style of tea I reach for, so I wasn’t sure what to expect from this ITeaworld sampler. After trying a couple of the teas, I can see why this set is so well regarded. The presentation is beautiful, and I really liked the tasting cards that come with it.The cards explain where each tea comes from, how to brew it, and what kind of flavors to expect. That’s especially helpful if you’re new to this type of tea and aren’t sure which one to try first.I started with the Wuyi Shui Xian and then tried the Da Hong Pao the next day. The Da Hong Pao has a lovely floral aroma, but it was a little too rich for me, especially with the smoky notes. I’m just not a fan of a smoke-forward tea. My parents, on the other hand, really enjoyed it since they prefer fuller-bodied teas.The Wuyi Shui Xian was more to my taste. It has a subtle woody aroma and is much milder and smoother than the Da Hong Pao. I usually steep each serving three times, and it held up well through the multiple infusions.I haven’t tried the High Mountain Rou Gui yet. I’m not particularly fond of cinnamon-forward flavors, so I’m saving that one for my daughter, who loves them.I drink a lot of loose leaf tea and already have plenty of ceramic and metal infusers, so I haven’t used the included corn-fiber tea bags. Still, I think they’re a nice addition for someone who is just getting started and doesn’t have their own teaware.Overall, this is a lovely sampler for anyone who enjoys taking their time with tea. I like brewing a pot properly and sharing it with family or friends. It makes an ordinary afternoon feel a little more special.

Needed something good to drink while working from home, so I picked up this 3 bag roasted oolong sampler. It comes with 3 different loose leaf varieties packed in 25g bags. The bags aren't resealable, but that doesn't really matter since each brew only takes about 2 to 5g of leaves depending on the setup. Because oolong handles multiple infusions so well, just 2g of these leaves gets me at least a few cups of tea throughout the morning.Each sample comes with its own little informational card and brewing instructions, which is a relief since most tea packaging leaves me blindly guessing water temperatures. The cards explain that boiling water works best, and when I tested it, I didn't have to adjust the temperature at all to get a great tasting cup. The kit also comes with corn fiber tea bags instead of cheap plastic ones. For anyone without a dedicated steeper, these are great. They worked exceptionally well for keeping tiny leaf fragments from slipping through the holes in my regular metal infuser, and they even help keep things clean when brewing in a gaiwan.Highly recommend grabbing this for anyone wanting to try out a few different oolongs without buying a giant bulk order. It makes a really nice gift for anyone getting into loose leaf tea, especially since the included cards take all the guesswork out of the brewing process.
