I really enjoyed this tea! I found it to be a lovely liquid version of caramel popcorn. 🍿 The tea has a nice buttery, sweet, slightly floral scent. You can also pick up the rice scent. I steeped this tea how I usually steep my black teas, at 212 degrees for 5 minutes. I immediately tasted the rice flavor and sweetness. It leaves a pleasant taste in your mouth. No sugar is needed but I added sugar and cream to taste and enjoyed it! This will go on my “to-buy” tea list.

If you enjoy a sweet, earthy, comforting tea with a distinct aroma, I highly recommend this unique treat. I like having it without sugar/milk for a true pure experience.

I can't say I'm surprised after the high quality of all the others I've tried from iTeaworld, but here is yet another top quality scented tea.

This tea is perfection and exactly what it describes - a simple black tea with no astringency or bitterness, with a grainy warmth to it that is reminiscent of toasty, brown rice. I could see a little milk going great with this, but it is excellent on its own with no frills. I don't imagine sweetener to be the move on this one, as I think it would detract from the savory nature of this bold and cozy tea.

I steeped this at 205F for about 20 seconds and chose to try the corn fiber tea bags that iTeaworld generously included in the Chinese Scented Floral Collection box. The bags were more like large, roomy sachets with ample room for these large, intact leaves to expand, which was nice.

These leaves look very similar to Golden Monkey, but perhaps a bit more unwound, and result in a liquor that is a lovely blend of the gold and and twig brown color of the leaves.

I think this is a must-have for pure tea lovers who would like a black tea, slightly more savory version of genmaicha. I'm considering the possibility of trying to cook with this tea as well! Could be interesting!

I used the corn fiber tea bag provided for steeping, which felt like a thoughtful choice after recently reading how brewing materials—especially metal—can affect a tea’s character. I brewed this tea seven times, using 5 grams of leaf with water at 212°F, steeping for 15 seconds for the first three infusions and 25 seconds for the remaining steeps. Brewing this way naturally forces you to slow down, be present, and truly savor each cup as it unfolds.

Each infusion brewed up a glowing amber cup. The flavor is bold yet comforting, with a gentle sweetness that lingers softly at the finish. What I loved most was how steady the tea remained from cup to cup—my last steep was just as enjoyable as the first, making this a tea that rewards patience and invites quiet moments of appreciation.
