First Flush refers to the very first tender buds that emerge after winter dormancy — the earliest and most precious harvest of the tea year.

For green tea, this short spring window is especially important. The young leaves are naturally rich in amino acids, which creates a cleaner taste, softer sweetness, and smoother mouthfeel.

Compared with later harvests, First Flush Longjing is more gentle sweetness and lower astringency. It is harvested only once each year within a very limited seasonal window.
