2026 First Flush Spring Tea Collection
$36.99 USD
Unit price perFirst Flush Spring Green Tea Collection brings together four of China’s most iconic green teas — all harvested as First Flush, the very first picking of early spring.
Green tea is prized for its freshness, and nothing is more sought after than the first harvest after winter. After months of dormancy, the tender buds are hand-picked to the traditional one bud, one leaf standard. Naturally rich in amino acids, these early spring leaves deliver freshness at its peak — vibrant, smooth, and delicately sweet.
Like Japanese Shincha, First Flush tea is meant to be enjoyed fresh. Once sold out, it will not be replenished until next year’s spring harvest.

First Flush — Freshness at Its Peak
First flush refers to the very first harvest of the year, picked at the beginning of spring.
- Winter Dormancy → Concentrated Nutrients
After months of winter rest, tea plants store and concentrate nutrients, resulting in richer leaf content. - Higher Amino Acids → Smoother, Sweeter Taste
Early spring leaves naturally contain more amino acids, giving the tea a softer, fresher, and more refined sweetness. - Tender Young Leaves Only
Only the most delicate buds and first young leaves are carefully selected — often one bud and one leaf. - Rare & Precious
The harvest window lasts only a few days each year, making first flush tea limited and sought after.

From China’s Core Regions to Classic Craftsmanship

Three Core Green Tea Craft Traditions
Chinese green tea is shaped by craftsmanship as much as origin.
This collection showcases the three essential styles:
Pan-fired (stir-fried) — nutty, rounded, classic
(Longjing, Biluochun)
Oven-dried — light, floral, elegant
(Huangshan Maofeng)
Steamed — bright, fresh, vivid green
(Enshi Yulu)
Four teas. Three traditions. One spring harvest. -
Four Origins, Four Springs Across China
Four of the most important green tea regions in China — each representing a different landscape, climate, and expression of spring.
🍃 Zhejiang — Longjing
The heartland of Chinese green tea.
Known for its gentle climate and misty lake surroundings.
Longjing represents the elegance of eastern China — smooth, nutty, refined.
🍃 Jiangsu — Biluochun
Grown near Taihu Lake, where orchards surround the tea gardens.
Biluochun is famous for its naturally floral and fruity aroma — a reflection of its unique growing environment.
🍃 Anhui — Huangshan Maofeng
From the high mountains of Huangshan, often covered in mist.
Cool temperatures and high elevation create a clean, delicate, orchid-like sweetness.
🍃 Hubei — Enshi Yulu
From the mountainous region of Enshi in central China.
A rare example of traditional steamed green tea, preserving ancient techniques dating back centuries.
Seed-Grown Native Varieties — The True Roots of Each Region
We intentionally select seed-grown (Qunti) tea trees as our raw material. Each tea represents the true “root” of its region — carrying the imprint of local soil and climate passed down through generations of native tea trees.
These trees are naturally cross-pollinated local varieties (non-GMO), preserving authentic terroir character and layered depth of flavor. Their genetic diversity enhances resilience and allows for fuller, more complex expression in the cup.
In contrast to the widely used cloned cultivars propagated by cuttings, seed-grown tea trees share distinctive qualities:
- Rich, full-bodied taste
- Strong flavor layering
- Excellent re-steeping ability
