Spring
As soon as I opened the bag, I could smell the jasmine. The dry leaves look beautiful with the jasmine flowers mixed it. I steeped 2 tsp of tea at 175° for 3 minutes. It brewed up a pale yellow color. The scent was really nice, not too strong. The jasmine was very delicate and light while the green tea was really smooth with no astringency. There was a slight sweetness also. This was a lovely tea to begin with, I liked the gentle floral notes.
Summer
I used 2 tsp of tea steeped at 175° for 3 minutes. The jasmine scent was very light and it brewed a pale yellow. The first sip I could taste more of the green tea, slightly astringent with more of a vegetal note, the floral was more in the background. The floral notes did linger after every sip. The astringency wasn't bad, I didn’t mind it but may steep this for less time next time. Overall still a good tea!
Definitely a difference so far between the spring and summer teas!
Autumn
I steeped 2 tsp of tea at 175° for 3 minutes. It brewed up a pale yellow color. The jasmine was a bit stronger but still delicate and light. I really liked the flavor of the jasmine in this one. The green tea was more balanced and well rounded with a smooth finish. It was also less astringent than the summer tea. This one was really delicious and refreshing!
I had alot of fun trying these teas! Each one was a little different. The Autumn one was my favorite! I loved learning about the scenting process and how the seasons can change the character of the leaves.
