Chinese Wild Oolong

The dry leaf aroma is very sweet and fruity. The brewed tea was a lot milder than I expected based on the dry leaf aroma. The taste is mildly fruity and floral with some roasty notes and a slight sweetness.

Honesty and fruit

Dry aroma: Pomelo. Honey and honey-dipped cantaloupe.
Initial aroma: very mineral. Wet stones and granite.
Wet leaf aroma: Makes your mouth water. Raisins. Green grapes.

Liquor appearance: Slightly cloudy. Slightly dark amber.

Flavor: Surprising. It's not nearly as vegetal or honey-like as I would have expected based on the aroma. I would say it is closer to being woody. Wood with honey on it.

Very flavorful oolong

Overall, a very tasteful tea. The dry leaves present a very nice aroma reminiscent of sheng, with floral, fruity, and peach notes, along with some chocolate and nutty undertones. The aroma of the post-brewed leaves seems to be more fruity and floral with hints of strawberry. Similar characteristics are present in the aroma of the infusion itself but with more pronounced nutty notes. In terms of flavor, I really like it; the taste is full-bodied, long-lasting, and complex. The most prominent note reminds me of the sweetness of overripe fruits (but in a good way), which pairs well with its slight earthiness. There are still some notes reminiscent of Pu-erh Sheng, as well as roasted notes, mostly nutty and caramel-like. Perhaps also some woodiness. In further brews, the roasted notes become more prominent, giving hints reminiscent of Japanese Hojicha. Highly recommend giving it a try!

solid wuyi style oolong

It is a rather lightly roasted oolong. I personally more of a fan of stronger roasted Wuyis, but this was by no means bad. It made me actually think I should maybe try more lighter roasted Wuyis in the future. It had light hints of chocolate and caramel and the characteristic petrichor and rock aroma was also there. Good Tea!
