Why We Source Biluochun from Liyang's Dai Town Instead of Lake Dongting
While Lake Dongting's Biluochun gets the hype, our Liyang Dai Town tea is the purist's pick. Think of it like craft beer vs. mass-produced lager – both quench your thirst, but one's got soul. Grown 60 miles west of Dongting in pollution-free mountain air, these old-growth tea bushes (the hardy 'Jiukeng' variety) have weathered decades to develop complex flavors. You get that classic Biluochun vibe, minus the touristy markup.
Why Handcrafted Beats Machine-Made
Master Zhang treats tea like a slow-cooked meal – no shortcuts. His hands knead each leaf to unlock natural oils (that's where the floral magic happens!), while factory machines just crush and rush. It's the difference between grandma's pie crust and frozen supermarket stuff. Want silky texture and aroma that dances on your tongue? That's the artisan craft talking.

Why choose Enshi’s native tea plant, the Entai Early variety?
For Enshi Yulu, we’ve selected the local Enshi native variety—Entai Early, a traditional “group variety” that’s been naturally selected and cultivated over time. This type of tea tree is more adaptable, has a longer lifespan, and offers more stable and complex flavors. It truly reflects the local environment and soil. Choosing group varieties ensures a purer, more nuanced taste profile, bringing you a natural, multi-layered tea experience.
What makes the core Enshi Yulu region special?
We’ve chosen the core tea-growing region in Enshi—Baiyangping Township in the Dabao Ping Group. This high-altitude area benefits from perfect growing conditions, with rich soil, plenty of sunlight, and a significant temperature difference between day and night. These conditions make the tea leaves grow slower and more concentrated in flavor, producing a tea with a deeper, purer taste that has both consistency and stability. Compared to other regions, Enshi Yulu from this area offers a more refined and authentic flavor.

Xinchang vs. West Lake: A Hidden Gem

Why Choose Jinzhai Huangshan Maofeng Instead of Traditional Huangshan Maofeng?
While traditional Huangshan Maofeng is well-known, we’ve chosen Master Yu’s Jinzhai Huangshan Maofeng because it offers the same exceptional quality and unique flavor, but at a more accessible price. Jinzhai is not part of the core Huangshan region, but its natural environment makes it an ideal place for tea cultivation. The wild, native tea trees here have been growing for many years and produce tea with a flavor very similar to Huangshan Maofeng. The purity of the environment gives the tea a quality comparable to that of the famous Huangshan teas, but with a better price-to-quality ratio.
Why Choose Huangshan Maofeng Group Varieties?
We’ve selected Huangshan Maofeng made from group variety tea plants because it captures the most traditional, pure Huangshan Maofeng flavor. Group variety tea trees are grown from seeds, so they have natural genetic diversity. These trees have undergone years of natural selection, making them more stable and adaptable, which allows them to better reflect the natural flavor of the region.
Compared to modern tea plantations with clonal, asexual propagation, group variety tea trees grow in a more natural environment with deeper root systems. This results in richer, more complex tea flavors. The older age of these trees and their long exposure to the natural environment means they carry the most original tea aromas, delivering a tea with more depth and layers.
Introducing our exquisite Biluochun, one of China's most renowned green teas.
This premium tea undergoes a unique process of high-temperature killing and is first pan-fried until dry, then slowly oven-dried at low temperatures. Unlike Longjing's pan-frying, which gives a distinct bean flavor, Biluochun's aroma is more subtle and refreshing. The slow, low-temperature frying process ensures there's no seaweed taste in Biluochun. This particular grade of Biluochun is quite high, featuring one bud and one leaf, made following the authentic Biluochun craftsmanship. It has a slight floral and fruity fragrance, slightly sweet without bitterness, and abundant in downy hairs. Although it's not from the authentic Dongting Biluochun in Suzhou, Zhejiang, but made from tea plants in Ya'an, Sichuan (close to the Tibetan Plateau, with an average altitude of over 2000 meters), this tea offers excellent quality and flavor at a more affordable price.
Reasons to choose this tea:
Crafted from the fresh spring harvest of April 2024, with one bud and one leaf, indicating high tenderness and grade of the tea leaves.
It's a high cost-performance Biluochun green tea without compromising quality.
Sourced from high-altitude tea gardens in Lingshan District, Ya'an City, Sichuan, at an altitude of 2000 meters, processed with the craftsmanship of Jiangsu Biluochun tea. The price is favorable because it's not from the core production area of Biluochun.
Purchase recommendation:
This tea is especially suitable for those who want to try Biluochun as beginners or for daily tea drinkers who need a large supply.
If you must purchase authentic Dongting Biluochun from Suzhou, Zhejiang, please buy with caution.
Introducing our Green Tea Leaf Grade Collection, a specially curated collection designed to help you discover how the picking grade of green tea leaves affects its flavor, aroma, and overall tea-drinking experience. This set includes two renowned Chinese green teas—Dragon Well (Longjing) and Huangshan Maofeng—both made from traditional heirloom varietals. The only difference? The picking grade of the leaves. You’ll be able to taste three distinct grades:
One bud, one leaf
One bud, two leaves
One bud, three leaves
Each tea is handpicked and processed by the same experienced tea master to ensure consistency in craftsmanship. By tasting the subtle variations from these different leaf grades, you'll develop a deeper understanding of green tea and find the perfect grade for your personal preferences.
Reasons for Recommendation:
Learn and explore – This set allows tea lovers to understand the direct impact of leaf grade on the tea’s taste, texture, and aroma.
Personalized tea experience – After trying different grades, consumers can better choose the perfect tea for their own palate.
Curated craftsmanship – The teas are crafted by the same master, so the only difference is the picking grade, ensuring a true comparison experience.
High-quality varietals – Made from traditional heirloom tea trees, these teas offer an authentic Chinese tea experience, highlighting the care and expertise in production.
This set is perfect for anyone curious about the nuances of green tea or those who wish to refine their tea selection skills. Whether you're a tea enthusiast or just getting started, this collection will guide you through the art of green tea grading and tasting.
Someone asked, "I'm new to Chinese green tea and want to try some well-known varieties without compromising on quality." This collection is curated just for that. We've handpicked the top 4 out of China's 10 famous green teas: Longjing, Biluochun, Huangshan Maofeng, and Lu'an Guapian. We've sourced these directly from authentic growers in the classic production areas, offering great value for money. Additionally, we've chosen high-altitude teas from seed-propagated group plantations and crafted by tea masters with over 20 years of experience. Each tea is a spring harvest from 2024. Here's a brief introduction to each:
Lu'an Guapian: A Unique Green Tea
Lu'an Guapian is a historic Chinese tea that was once a tribute to the royal family. This precious green tea still maintains its unique traditional craftsmanship and flavor. Our gourmet Lu'an Guapian is handcrafted by a master with 30 years of experience, using leaves from the small-leaf tea plants in Qi Mountain, Lu'an, Anhui, grown at an altitude of 600 meters. Picked at the end of spring, the leaves are tender with a rich aroma and a refreshing taste. The end-of-spring tea is more affordable than early spring tea, with a more pronounced tea flavor and a slightly reduced aroma. Lu'an Guapian is picked by selecting only the second leaf from the bud and two leaves, discarding the stem and tender leaves, retaining the essence of the tea to ensure the purity and delicate freshness of the tea soup.
Biluochun: A Premium Green Tea from China
Biluochun is one of China's most famous green teas, known for its high-temperature killing and initial pan-frying followed by slow low-temperature drying. Unlike Longjing's pan-frying, dried green tea has a distinct bean flavor, but Biluochun's frying aroma is not prominent, offering a more refreshing taste. This high-grade Biluochun has a slight floral and fruity fragrance, slightly sweet without bitterness, and abundant downy hairs. Despite its high grade and flavor, it's affordably priced because it's made from tea plants in Sichuan, not the authentic Dongting Biluochun from Suzhou, Zhejiang.
Huangshan Maofeng: A Delightful Green Tea
Huangshan Maofeng represents the high-mountain green teas of China, grown from 60-year-old tea trees in loamy soil at an altitude of 800 meters. Crafted by experienced tea masters using traditional drying techniques, this tea offers a perfect balance of quality and value. It's rich in minerals and exudes a refreshing green tea aroma with a subtle orchid fragrance. Its sweet and gentle flavor is endlessly memorable, making it ideal for daily drinking, especially for those who prefer a sweet taste without bitterness. The spring-picked high-mountain leaves add to its unique sweet taste and soft texture.
Longjing: A Famous Green Tea
We're committed to providing an authentic Longjing tea, different from the popular low-grade "machine-cut Longjing." Our tea is selected from the traditional Longjing variety in Lishui, Zhejiang, crafted semi-manually by Longjing masters with over 30 years of experience, combining traditional techniques with modern conveniences. We choose to pick our tea after Grain Rain and before the beginning of summer, when the flavor is similar to pre-Grain Rain tea, but more affordable. Our tea comes from high-altitude gardens (900-1000 meters), where the climate and altitude provide an environment similar to West Lake, ensuring superior quality and value.
Our Longjing tea is of a high grade, carefully selected from one bud and two leaves to one bud and three leaves, offering complete leaves in contrast to the machine-cut tea with more stems and incomplete leaves. Our goal is to offer a genuine variety and craftsmanship of high-quality Longjing tea at an entry-level price, ensuring every cup exudes the pure aroma and elegant taste of traditional Longjing

Introduction:
This Jasmine Black Tea is meticulously selected from the spring harvest of 2024. Combining Yunnan black tea from Fengqing, Yunnan, at elevations of approximately 1600 meters, with jasmine flowers from Hengxian, Guangxi, the exceptional growing conditions impart a unique and richly layered flavor to this tea. The plucking standard of one bud and two leaves, paired with fresh jasmine flowers and three scenting processes, ensures a harmonious blend of soft jasmine fragrance and the robust, mellow taste of black tea.
Reasons to Recommend:
- Core Production Area: The black tea is sourced from Fengshan Town, Fengqing County, Yunnan, where the average annual temperature ranges from 18°C to 22°C, with significant daily temperature variations and annual precipitation of 1200-1700 mm. The jasmine flowers are from Hengzhou, Guangxi, which enjoys abundant sunshine, annual rainfall of 1450 mm, and soil rich in organic matter, providing an ideal growing environment.
- Scenting Process: Yunnan black tea serves as the base, while jasmine flowers from Hengzhou, Guangxi, are used for scenting. The traditional scenting process is repeated three times, resulting in a tea where the floral aroma and tea fragrance are perfectly balanced.
- High-Mountain Tea Gardens: Since ancient times, high mountains shrouded in mist have produced premium teas. This tea thrives in such environments, where lush vegetation and organic-rich soil, combined with extreme daily temperature fluctuations, enhance the accumulation of flavorful compounds in the leaves.

Authentic Triple-Scented Jasmine Green Tea
Experience the true art of jasmine tea with our carefully crafted triple-scented jasmine green tea. Many jasmine teas on the market may contain excessive dried flowers or lack the traditional scenting process. Our tea is different—designed to offer a well-balanced aroma and flavor, providing an authentic introduction to jasmine tea for a reasonable price.
Why Choose This Tea?
Traditional Scenting Process: We use fresh jasmine flowers from Guangxi Hengxian, known for their purity and fragrance. Scented three times, with 3 pounds of flowers per 1 pound of tea, this process ensures a delicate yet lasting floral essence.
Premium Tea Base: The green tea base is a high-quality Biluochun, made from one bud and two leaves. This creates a smooth, refined green tea flavor that perfectly complements the jasmine.
Balanced Flavor: Perfect for those who seek a harmonious blend of floral and tea notes. The jasmine aroma is elegant, never overwhelming, allowing both the tea's natural sweetness and the flower's fragrance to shine.
Durable Infusion: With just 2g of tea per 100ml water, our jasmine tea can be steeped up to five times, with the floral notes still present even in the final brew.
Expert Craftsmanship: Master tea maker Mr. Ren, with 15 years of experience, uses his deep knowledge and passion to ensure each batch meets the highest quality standards.
Taste Profile
Our jasmine tea has a lively jasmine fragrance with subtle sweetness, layered over the refreshing green tea. The tea liquor is a bright yellow-green, and the flavor is light yet full, with a long-lasting sweet aftertaste.
Ideal for daily drinkers, gift-givers, or those looking for a balanced jasmine tea that doesn’t sacrifice quality for price.
Introduction:
This Junshan Yinzhen (Silver Needle) tea is meticulously selected from the spring harvest of 2024. Plucked from high-altitude tea gardens in Yueyang, Hunan Province, at elevations of approximately 500 meters, the exceptional growing conditions impart a refreshing taste and rich, layered flavors. The plucking standard of primarily one bud and one leaf ensures a delicate, mellow taste with a sweet aftertaste, a bright yellow liquor, and a lasting, fresh aroma.
Reasons to Recommend:
- Core Production Area: Sourced from the secondary core production area outside Junshan Island, offering an affordable price while maintaining the authentic flavor profile of Junshan Yinzhen through traditional craftsmanship and tea variety.
- Unique Appearance: Junshan Yinzhen is characterized by its straight, plump buds with golden bodies covered in silvery hairs. When brewed, the tea leaves stand upright in the water, floating up and down before settling vertically at the bottom of the cup. This mesmerizing process is known as the "three rises and three falls."
- Strict Standards: The plucking and production of Junshan Yinzhen follow rigorous standards. It is harvested only once a year during a 7-10 day window around the Qingming Festival, ensuring the finest spring buds are selected.
- A Renowned Chinese Tea: Recognized as one of China's top ten famous teas, Junshan Yinzhen is the most well-known and beloved variety of yellow tea.
Oxidation Level: Low
Roasting Level: None
Tea Garden Soil: Sandy loam
Processing Time: Spring 2024
Best Before Date: 18 months
Tea Variety: Yueyang Group Variety
We noticed that many popular Longjing teas are "knife-cut" varieties. These Green Tea are made from leaves cut after high-grade teas have been hand-harvested. As a result, they contain more stems, and the leaves are often incomplete, producing a weaker flavor and possibly coming from non-authentic Longjing varieties. We wanted to offer a Longjing tea that delivers the authentic taste, variety, and craftsmanship at an entry-level price, allowing more people to experience the true flavors of this iconic tea.
Why choose our Longjing?
Craftsmanship: Handcrafted by a Longjing master with over 30 years of experience, our tea combines traditional techniques and modern refinement.
Seasonal Selection: We’ve chosen 谷雨茶 (Grain Rain) tea, which is harvested just after Qingming tea. The taste difference is minimal, but the price is significantly more affordable.
High-Altitude Quality: Our tea comes from Zhejiang Lishui’s Longjing heirloom variety. The climate and high altitude (900-1000 meters) offer conditions similar to West Lake, but with superior pricing and quality.
Leaf Grade: Selected for its high grade—one bud, two leaves—this tea is from the freshest spring harvest of 2024, ideal for those who enjoy a clean, refreshing taste with signature chestnut and bean notes.
Precision Hand-Picking: Each batch is handpicked to ensure no stems and minimal tea dust, ensuring a purer brew with authentic flavor.
This tea is perfect for:
Tea lovers seeking an authentic Longjing experience with superior craftsmanship, and flavor,
People needing a mild caffeine boost, as Longjing’s caffeine content is moderate, helping with focus and alertness,
Tea culture enthusiasts, as Longjing is one of China’s top 10 famous teas with a rich history and tradition.
If you're looking for an entry-level authentic variety, craftsmanship, and flavor in Zhejiang Longjing, this is the most cost-effective option we could find!
