What is First Flush Green Tea?

First flush green tea refers to the very first harvest of the new shoots that emerge after the tea tree has overwintered. It's typically made from "one bud, one leaf" or just single buds.

The number of harvests for green tea depends on the tea variety, growing environment, and climate conditions, but it’s usually 3-4 times a year.

The harvesting period for First Flush Spring Tea is generally from February to May.

First Flush Spring Tea has a fresh, crisp flavor, a strong fragrance, high nutritional value, and the best quality.

However, First picking tea is the first harvest of the buds and leaves that meet the picking standards, usually in small amounts, after the start of spring.

A Good Dragon Well Tea

This dragon well tea has a great nutty flavor and a wonderful sweetness. which makes it quite refreshing. The tea does not get bitter easily; however, I would not brew it past 2 mins and 15 seconds. I measure my tea with a plastic spoon (the kind you might use on while on a picnic) and have found that two level spoonfuls to be the perfect amount for an 8 ounce cup of tea.

I gave this as a birthday gift to my friend from China. She said the tea was very good and very fresh. She liked it a lot.
