Voice From The Custom
A really good pack! Everything included is amazing. I bought this for myself but I will get more for gifting in the future. Fenghuang Dancong: Possibly the best tea from the brand, the dry leaves smell of sugar cookies and the flavor reminiscent of muscat wine...

This tea reminded me a lot of Bai Mu Dan. The leaves had the aroma of fresh straw and stewed apples. The tea itself had mild clover honey and floral notes, and what I perceived to be citrus. I really like this tea!

This here not only tasted somehow different, than other green teas I had, but also had a pretty bold taste. It had a slight acidity, but there was also a strong fruitiness with a slight hint of apple in the aftertaste, maybe reminescent of a biluochun. It reminded us a bit of yuzu or grapefruit, but there were also your more classical green tea aromas like cream, walnut and umami. All in all it was one of the tastiest green teas, I've ever had

This was a very nice tea, it has an aroma reminiscent of orchids and introduces a refined oolong experience. The flavor is a harmonious balance of floral intricacies and creamy undertones unfolds creating a sophisticated palate. The lingering aftertaste encapsulates the artistry behind this Tie Guan Yin making it a noteworthy tea that anyone that appreciates good tea would likely enjoy.

In the hot summer, what tea do you recommend?
In summer, it is recommended to drink green tea, white tea, oolong tea (also known as Qingcha), and flower tea. These types of tea have the effects of clearing heat, relieving thirst, and are particularly suitable for consumption in summer.
Green Tea
1.Green tea is unfermented and has a cooling property, making it effective in reducing internal heat. It accelerates the healing of oral ulcers and mild gastric ulcers.
2.It is rich in nutrients and has medicinal values such as reducing blood lipids and preventing arteriosclerosis.
3.After brewing, it has a clear color, a refreshing aroma, and a fresh taste, making it ideal for cooling down and refreshing in summer.
White Tea
1.White tea is recommended for summer consumption as it moistens the mouth, relieves thirst, aids digestion, and clears phlegm. It also promotes healing of oral ulcers and mild gastric ulcers.
2.It contains high levels of nutrients and also has medicinal values such as lowering blood lipids and preventing arteriosclerosis.
Oolong Tea (Qingcha)
1.Oolong tea, also known as Qingcha, is a semi-fermented tea. It contains minimal vitamin C but is rich in minerals like iron and calcium, as well as enzymes that aid digestion and fat breakdown.
2.Drinking oolong tea in summer can clear heat, relieve internal heat, and reduce greasiness.
Flower Tea
1.Flower teas are fragrant and pleasant, each offering unique health benefits such as promoting blood circulation and enhancing immunity.
2.Peppermint tea is particularly popular for its cooling effect, quickly lowering oral temperature and providing a refreshing sensation.
3.Rose tea, lemongrass tea, and hibiscus tea are also excellent choices, known not only for their aromatic flavors but also for their health benefits such as promoting blood circulation and boosting immunity.
Is drinking a hot beverage on a hot day actually better than drinking a cold beverage in order to cool down?
In hot weather, drinking hot beverages may help cool the body faster because they can promote sweating, which dissipates heat. When the body sweats, the evaporation of sweat takes away heat, resulting in a cooling effect. However, this doesn’t mean that hot beverages are always better than cold beverages in hot weather. For example, in very humid conditions, cold beverages may be more effective for cooling down since sweat evaporates more slowly. Additionally, after intense exercise, the body generates a lot of heat, and drinking hot beverages might help release heat through sweating.
Is cold tea as healthy as hot tea?
In fact, both cold tea and hot tea have their own benefits. Cold tea can provide a refreshing feeling in the hot summer, helping you cool down and stay hydrated, while also being rich in polyphenols and antioxidants, which are beneficial for the body. Hot tea, on the other hand, helps promote blood circulation, making it particularly suitable for cold seasons.
Regardless of whether you cold brew or hot brew your tea, the nutritional components in the tea leaves remain largely unchanged. As long as you choose high-quality tea leaves, you can enjoy the health benefits of tea whether it’s cold or hot. Cold brew tea typically has lower caffeine content than hot brew because the extraction process is slower and doesn’t release caffeine as quickly as hot water does. For those sensitive to caffeine, cold brew tea might be a better option.
What teas are better cold brewed then hot brewed?
Cold brew tea is usually suitable for those who want to enjoy a gentle and refreshing taste. This method reduces the release of caffeine and tannins from the tea leaves, making the tea milder and less likely to be bitter. Especially for those who are sensitive to caffeine, cold brew tea might be a better choice.
Iced tea - cold brew or just chill tea brewed hot?
There are two ways to make iced tea: cold brew and hot brew followed by cooling.
Cold Brew Tea: This method involves steeping the tea leaves in cold water for several hours. The resulting tea has a gentler flavor and lower caffeine content.
Hot Brew Tea Followed by Cooling: This involves brewing the tea with hot water first, then cooling it in the refrigerator or adding ice. This tea tends to have a stronger flavor, as hot water extracts more aroma and taste from the tea leaves.
Each method has its own merits. If you prefer a gentle taste, try the cold brew method. If you enjoy a richer aroma and flavor, go for the hot brew followed by cooling.
Cold brewed tea - can you leave it on the counter overnight to steep or do you have to refrigerate it? Your opinion?
It's better to store cold brew tea in the refrigerator. 🍵🧊
Leaving it at room temperature overnight can lead to bacterial growth, especially in warm or humid environments. Additionally, tea leaves exposed to air for too long may absorb unwanted odors.
So, it's best to steep cold brew tea in the fridge. This keeps the tea fresh and prevents bacteria from growing, ensuring your tea is both healthy and delicious. Just remember to use a well-sealed container to preserve the tea's aroma. The next day, you'll enjoy a fresh and fragrant cold brew tea! 😉👍
Hot brew then cool or cold brew?
Hot brew followed by cooling and cold brew each have their benefits. 🍵🔥❄️
Hot Brew Followed by Cooling: If you prefer a rich flavor and aroma, brew the tea with hot water first and then cool it down. This method results in a fuller taste and stronger aroma.
Cold Brew: If you want a gentler, more refreshing taste, try the cold brew method. Steeping tea in cold water for a long time significantly reduces the caffeine content and results in a milder flavor.
The choice depends on the taste and experience you seek. If you're in a hurry or it's particularly hot, hot brew followed by cooling is a great option. If you have plenty of time and want to enjoy a delicate fragrance, cold brew is wonderful.
Is there a secret to making clear (not cloudy) iced tea at home around here?
Tips for Making Clear Homemade Iced Tea
Avoid Metal Containers: Metal containers can affect the taste and color of the tea. Use glass or ceramic containers instead.
Proper Tea to Water Ratio: Use a 1:100-150 tea to water ratio to avoid cloudy tea.
Cold Brew: Use cold water to steep the tea. This allows the tea components to release slowly, preventing cloudiness.
Long Steeping Time: Cold brewing requires several hours for the tea's polyphenols and amino acids to release gradually, ensuring a great taste.
Refrigerate: Store the brewed tea in the refrigerator. Chilled tea will be clearer and taste better.
Use a Filter: After steeping, use a filter or cloth to remove tea leaves for a clear and clean tea.

Should iced tea taste good without sugar?
Cold brewing balances strong and bitter flavors, preserving the tea’s natural taste and aroma. Whether it’s refreshing green tea or rich black tea, each has its unique fragrance and aftertaste that can be enjoyed on its own.
If you’re new to this, try adding a couple of lemon slices or a few mint leaves. This enhances the flavor without overpowering the tea’s original taste.
Experiment with different teas to find your favorite. Unsweetened iced tea can truly surprise you!
