Let customers speak for us
from 657 reviewsBig thanks to Jun and the iTeaworld team for selecting me! As a tea lover, I’m always brewing a pot whenever I can. Green tea is my go-to, and I’m especially obsessed with Jasmine Green Tea, so I was thrilled to try this new iTeaworld Green Tea Sampler.
The Sampler:
The set comes with 20 individually packed tea bags featuring six different types of green tea:
Dragon Well (3 bags)
Bi Luo Chun (4 bags)
Huangshan Maofeng (3 bags)
Jasmine Green Tea (4 bags)
Enshi Jade Dew (3 bags)
Old Tree Green Tea (3 bags)
It also includes a box of transparent tea bags and a tea guide that covers each tea’s origin, unique characteristics, and brewing instructions.
Tasting Notes:
Dragon Well (Longjing): Light orchid fragrance, smooth with no bitterness, and leaves a lasting impression. Known as the “Queen of Green Tea.” (Pro tip: it's a cooling tea, so ladies, drink in moderation!)
Bi Luo Chun: Bright green leaves with a hint of silver. Floral and fruity aroma, sweet and mellow with no bitterness.
Huangshan Maofeng: Pale green-yellow tea leaves. Fresh and rich flavor with a sweet aftertaste.
Enshi Jade Dew: Slightly bitter upfront but leaves a delicate fragrance. I found it the most bitter of the bunch, but it’s also super resilient to multiple brews.
Jasmine Green Tea: This one never disappoints! As soon as you open the bag, you’re hit with that rich jasmine aroma. The floral and tea notes blend perfectly, and it tastes purely natural.
Old Tree Green Tea: Light yellow-green color, mildly bitter with a sweet finish. Very easy to drink.
Green Tea Tips:
Green tea has cooling properties, so it’s best for women to avoid overindulging.
Don’t drink it before bed unless you want to stay up all night!
The best time to enjoy green tea is after a meal or in the afternoon.
Final Thoughts:
iTeaworld’s Green Tea Sampler brings together some of China’s most iconic green teas. The quality and flavor are impressive, and the price is a steal—only $1.50 per bag! Whether you’re indulging yourself or gifting it during the holidays, this set is a fantastic choice.
I just received the new iTeaWorld Oolong Tea package I ordered, and as a tea lover, I’m absolutely thrilled!
This new oolong series includes 4 different teas with varying levels of roast and fermentation, totaling 100g, with 5 sachets of each flavor. The individual packaging is both cute and elegant, so I couldn’t wait to brew a cup!
Tie Guan Yin: It’s refreshing and smooth, with a nice layered taste when you sip it carefully.
Da Hong Pao: Super rich and full-bodied, with a sweet aftertaste—definitely my favorite!
Phoenix Dancong: It has a strong floral fragrance and gives a nice pick-me-up.
Zhangping Shui Xian: It’s refreshing with floral and fruity notes, and leaves a smooth, sweet aftertaste.
The packaging of this set is really well thought out, with individual tea bags, so you can either brew loose leaf tea or enjoy the convenience of bagged tea. It’s perfect for both home use or when you’re out and about! It would also make a lovely gift!
When I was a kid, I heard green tea could help with weight loss, so I’ve loved drinking it ever since.
Compared to black tea, green tea has less caffeine, so I don’t have to worry about losing sleep at night.
It’s also packed with polyphenols to help dissolve fat and catechins to fight plaque and gum disease.
iTeaworld Green Tea Sampler Gift Set
From the moment you see the packaging, you can tell how much thought went into it.
The elegant, traditional design gives off a classic vibe. The embossed tea names and the ink painting visible through the “cloud window” are stunning. Perfect for gifting!
Each box contains 20 tea bags (100g total), letting you experience six distinct green teas from different regions of China:
Jasmine Green Tea (Guangxi)
Dragon Well (Zhejiang)
Bi Luo Chun (Jiangsu)
En Shi Yu Lu (Hubei)
Huangshan Maofeng (Anhui)
Ancient Tree Green Tea (Yunnan)
Every tea is freshly picked and crafted around April of this year.
For beginners like me who don’t own fancy tea tools, the box includes 20 biodegradable corn-fiber tea bags. They’re eco-friendly and make brewing mess-free—no tea residue in sight!
Brewing is simple: just pour in the right amount of tea, add hot water, and you’re good to go.
The recommended steeping time and temperature are printed on the back of the bags.
The dry leaves already have a delicate fragrance, but once steeped, they unfold beautifully in the water. The tea liquor is crystal clear, reflecting the purity of the leaves—no need to rinse.
The color of the tea varies depending on the type, ranging from light green to golden yellow.
My Two Favorites
1⃣ Bi Luo Chun
Bi Luo Chun is my go-to green tea. It has a rich aroma with fruity undertones.
Before tasting, take a deep inhale—the fragrance fills your senses, so soothing!
The tea liquor is green, and the initial sip might feel a bit astringent, but I actually enjoy that.
Then comes the sweetness, slowly unfolding and lingering on your palate.
2⃣ En Shi Yu Lu
This was my first time hearing about En Shi Yu Lu, and what a poetic name!
It’s said to have been an imperial tribute tea in ancient times.
From the first sip, I fell in love. Compared to Bi Luo Chun, its flavor is lighter, more delicate.
Even the astringency is milder.
But the aftertaste? Oh, it’s magical. Long-lasting sweetness that lingers, like a burst of flavor pearls.
Every sip leaves a sweet trail that blooms in your mouth—truly unique.
Green Tea’s Hidden Superpower
Each tea can be steeped 4-5 times without losing too much flavor. Though the taste naturally mellows out, I actually like the subtlety that comes through with each steeping.
Another reason I love green tea? It’s unbeatable at cutting through grease!
After a heavy, oily meal, one sip of green tea feels more refreshing than mouthwash.
I even tested it: one bite of food, one sip of tea—works like a charm every time.
Perfect for the Holidays
With Thanksgiving feasts and Christmas gatherings around the corner, I’m planning to bring my green tea along. It’s the season of indulgence, but staying healthy is just as important as having fun!
The iTeaworld Green Tea Sampler Gift Set is high-quality and thoughtfully curated.
If you’re unsure which green tea to try, this gift set has got you covered.
As a die-hard green tea lover, my daily routine isn’t complete without a cup of green tea at work.
Why drink more green tea?
It’s packed with Vitamin C, amino acids, antioxidants, and minerals. Not only does it aid digestion, but it also provides excellent antioxidant benefits. Regularly drinking green tea is great for your overall health.
I used to think green tea was just… green tea. No big deal, right? But iTeaworld’s Green Tea Selection completely opened my eyes—who knew there were so many different types of green tea?!!
The set includes:
Corn fiber tea bags
6 different types of green tea:
Dragon Well
Bi Luo Chun
Huangshan Maofeng
En Shi Yu Lu
Jasmine Green Tea
Ancient Tree Green Tea
Total: 100g
Dragon Well (Longjing)
Brewed to a pale yellow-green, this tea has a rich flavor with floral and nutty undertones. Complex and satisfying.
Bi Luo Chun
A bright wheat-green brew with subtle floral and fruity notes. The aftertaste lingers beautifully.
Huangshan Maofeng
The tea is a greenish-yellow shade, offering a mellow sweetness with a lovely, lingering finish.
En Shi Yu Lu
A vibrant jade-green tea that starts with a hint of bitterness, but quickly turns sweet as you sip. The aftertaste is pleasantly refreshing.
Jasmine Green Tea
Crystal-clear green tea with a soft jasmine fragrance. The flavor is naturally sweet with a delicate floral hint.
Ancient Tree Green Tea
A yellowish-green tea with a smooth, sweet taste and layered complexity.
Even after brewing each tea up to four times, the flavors remain bold, revealing new nuances with every steep.
My whole family is loving this curated set! It’s a fun way to try different teas and discover your personal favorite. Highly recommend!
I’m really impressed with iTeaworld’s green tea sampler! This set includes six different green teas, each with its own unique characteristics, allowing me to enjoy a variety of flavors.
My favorite has to be the Old Tree Green Tea, which is rich and smooth with no bitterness and a delightful sweetness that lingers on the palate. Every sip feels vibrant and full of life, making it a true pleasure to drink.
The Huangshan Maofeng offers an elegant flavor profile with a distinct mountain character. Each cup transports me to a high mountain tea garden, and its refreshing taste really invigorates the senses. It’s perfect for those who appreciate subtle and delicate flavors.
Longjing is another standout with its sweet and refreshing qualities. The tea is smooth and silky, leaving a rich aftertaste that’s incredibly satisfying. It’s especially nice to enjoy during a busy day when you need a little pick-me-up.
The other three teas in the sampler are just as delightful, each showcasing a variety of flavors and aromas. Whether it’s the floral notes of Bi Luo Chun or the seaweed undertones of En Shi Yu Lu, every tea offers something unique and enjoyable.
Overall, iTeaworld’s green tea sampler has allowed me to explore six different types of green tea, and each one is definitely worth recommending! It’s a fantastic selection for anyone who loves loose leaf green tea or is looking for the best loose leaf tea in the world of Chinese tea!
I absolutely love black tea, but finding a reliable source for Chinese loose leaf black teas was challenging. When I stumbled upon iteaworld and saw they offered a sampler pack, I immediately ordered it. To my surprise, the set of four teas was amazing, showcasing different fermentation levels and unique flavors. The teas are smooth and delicate, unlike the more intense Ceylon and Assam teas I’ve tried. The floral aroma lingers pleasantly in your mouth, especially when brewed as recommended on their site.
I appreciate their detailed brewing instructions and insightful blog posts about Chinese tea culture, which have enriched my tea-drinking experience. Enjoying a cup while reading their articles makes me feel connected to authentic Chinese traditions. Thank you, iteaworld!
As a coffee and whisky enthusiast, I found the smoked Lapsang Souchong in this sampler to be an excellent alternative. It has a strong, mellow pine smoke aroma, which pairs well with nuts and pastries. The teas in this set are naturally sweet and flavorful without needing any additives. I loved how the sampler includes distinct types like the Yingde Black Tea, which has a malty sweetness and a smooth finish, similar to a high-quality Assam or Earl Grey. I highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys exploring new teas.
I recently started drinking green tea for health reasons, mainly because green tea is rich in catechins, which can promote metabolism and help prevent many diseases. However, as a green tea novice, I was not sure which green tea to choose. So I tried iTeaworld's green tea sample set, which contains 6 different green teas to help me explore various flavors.
Among them, Long Jing left a deep impression on me, with a sweet, mellow taste, refreshing and long aftertaste. Jasmine Green Tea has a strong jasmine fragrance and refreshing tea soup, which is very pleasant. Bi Luo Chun has a unique floral and fruity aroma, which is fresh and mellow, and the sweet taste is unforgettable. En Shi Yu Lu is the only steamed green tea in China. The prominent seaweed aroma makes it unique and refreshing. Huangshan Maofeng exudes an elegant orchid fragrance, while Old Tree Green Tea has a hint of honey, sweet and still strong after multiple brewing.
This sample set is a great choice for exploring different green teas, especially for green tea novices like me.
I received this sampler for free, but my opinions are entirely my own.
My notes are based on gongfu steepings, and it was brewed at 80C.
This is a really nice tea. It's full-bodied, mellow, and bright. The flavor has a gentle vegetal character, reminding me much of freshly steamed spinach and young greens. There's a natural sweetness that becomes more noticeable as the leaves open up. I also picked up some strong umami notes, similar to those in Sencha. The tea’s complexity is evident but not overwhelming, making it an enjoyable and approachable choice for both seasoned drinkers and newcomers.
This balanced, but still very nuanced profile makes it an appropriate choice for any time of day. I typically drink in the morning and afternoon, but this would certainly make for a great evening tea as well. You may want to experiment with temperatures and brewing styles to figure out what works best for you if you pick up this tea. Gongfu at 80C is what I liked the most, but greens are versatile and can taste very different depending on your methodology.
Overall, this tea is a really great value in its price range and I can recommend it.
Wild Oolong from iTeaworld offers a complex flavor profile. It features a floral and fruity aroma with a hint of wild forest fragrance. The taste is smooth and balanced, with notes of honey, fruit, and woodiness, leaving a lingering, slightly sweet aftertaste. This is an easy-drinking tea that could easily become a daily drinker.
It is a rather lightly roasted oolong. I personally more of a fan of stronger roasted Wuyis, but this was by no means bad. It made me actually think I should maybe try more lighter roasted Wuyis in the future. It had light hints of chocolate and caramel and the characteristic petrichor and rock aroma was also there. Good Tea!
I am not at all a green tea fan, on the contrary I found a lot of green teas, I've had until now too mild for my taste. This here not only tasted somehow different, than other green teas I had, but also had a pretty bold taste. It had a slight acidity, but there was also a strong fruitiness, maybe reminescent of a biluochun. It reminded us a bit of yuzu or grapefruit, but there were also your more classical green tea aromas like cream, walnut and umami. All in all it was one of the tastiest green teas, I've ever had
I enjoy sampler sets in general and the Chinese dark tea sampler set is new to me. And, I must say, it is exceeding my expectations. Each tea has its own unique flavors & characteristics, showcasing the diversity of Chinese dark teas. The rich earthiness of pu'erh to the smooth complexity of Liu Bao, every cup was a delightful of taste and aroma. I like the packaging too. It’s elegant and full of info, providing insight on origins and brewing methods of each tea. If you're a seasoned tea enthusiast or just beginning to explore the world of dark teas, this sampler set offers a wonderful opportunity to taste the depth and complexity of each tea. I recommend this for anyone looking to expand their tea collection or indulge in a luxurious tea tasting experience. My family enjoyed tasting these with me too. We each had our own faves
“They say” is a most dangerous phrase in the English language. Regardless of the topic, I believe it is always best to experience for oneself the subject of discussion, whether it is a person, place, or thing of art. This is especially true of tea, no matter what country in which it is grown. There are times when you least expect it, you can experience even for just a moment, the fragrance, the taste, and the essence of that country. Sometimes, all at once.
Most supermarket brands of Jasmine tea are artificially perfumed, which is not only harmful to the health but can also damage your taste buds. It is chemically oriented. But not this – this is bliss in a bag from iteaworld.
By adhering to the instructions on each package (which can vary, and it is best to do so) you will get the experience of the tea.
Jasmine Mao Jian
Great introduction at the first sip, and quickly envelops the mouth. A slight astringency that is fairly signature of true Jasmine tea. It isn’t harsh and doesn’t try to compete for attention. It’s a gentle wave rather than a frantic change of tide. This tea will delight those who enjoy a lighter scent and taste. It is not heavy handed, and fully engages you in the experience of being in a truly blissful garden, wherever you may live.
The light grasses of summer, in the wintertime, will soothe the ache in your neck, and the gentle floral surrounding the substantial tea leaves, which are strong and neat, with variegated color. By the second cup you will be wondering why you have wasted so much money at the supermarket over the years.
The second and third steeps will reveal notes of light fruit and accompanied by its signature floral, is the perfect blend. It is consistent and a lovely tea all-round for those who like me, want to be there, but can’t.
Jasmine Bai Hao
The fragrance is unbelievably natural and strong as soon as you open the envelope. It is a needle-like tea with a beautiful presentation of varied colors. I thought I was in a scented bath for a moment. It is a true Jasmine fragrance! I don’t know how they got it in there, but I'm glad they did! I really felt a bit sleepy afterward and so I know I can use this as a nightcap before bedtime and I won’t stay awake but will float off.
This acts more like a white tea, and it is very gentle on the stomach and the mouth. Color is perfect – a very pale gold, which is very satisfying after a hard day at work. I’m very excited about this one because I have been looking for something for evening time, and this perfectly fits the bill. It is still as robust as any of the top competitors and holds its own in a saturated market. This is a tea to savor at the end of the day, and let your mind wander, while you fall asleep in a favorite chair. (Sign me up, please for a pound of this!)
Color, brilliance, and taste are fully consistent from steep to steep, from cup to cup. This is a winner for all seasons. The Jasmine Bai Hao is by far my favorite of the four.
Jasmine Zhen Wang
Once again, it has a needle-like appearance and during the first steep begins to act like a white tea, although of course, it is green. The fragrance is a lot more subtle on this tea, and so it would be a favorite for those who do not like heavy fragrance. I have a perfumer’s nose (a former occupation) and so I easily pick out orange blossom as well as jasmine, although of course, the jasmine is the base layer which doesn’t fade. It is spiced jasmine, if I may say so, and it’s subtle and complex.
The taste is light, and floral, and again, behaving very much like a white tea. I enjoyed the third steep of this the most. Like many of my personality type, I will say that if there is one absolute certainty in life, it is that there are no absolutes. I enjoyed this tea! I feel strongly that the taste is consistent from steep to steep and not too heavily reliant on the grasses for flavor. My second favorite! A great go-to for bedtime.
Jasmine Bi Luo Chun
This is by far the most traditional of the four in this sampler. Astringency is high on the first steep, and some may find that bitter. But it is worth the wait if you go to the second and third steep. Smoothing out nicely, the tea, which is a bright yellow, takes on a far more subtle flavor with notes of yes, the grasses, and vegetal, but also the jasmine floral itself. For the purist, this is it. Those who enjoy the high greens, will love this tea.
It is what many expect out of a high-quality jasmine. Scented three times in the most natural way, with no added perfumes, it is a lovely fragrance to carry you through your day, as well as your teatime.
In all, my favorites may not be yours, but I do plan to order them individually. This is a fantastic sampler, with a great introduction to both the history of these teas and their importance in Chinese culture, as well as the necessary qualities to make it a daily drink for many.
A very full-bodied floral and fresh minty taste, great perfume from dry leaves to the last sip. Great quality, processed with mastery.
